A hummingbird came to the feeder I put up last week. I feel so proud!

Strippers...Can't trust 'em

I have been patiently waiting for several weeks for my first pole dancing fitness class that I pre-paid for given that the class size is so small (5) and lots of other sexy ladies such as myself decided to sign up for the same budget friendly package as I did.

So I have been looking forward to my first class, even though it's at 9am on a Saturday. Was even planning on shaving my legs for it since booty shorts were recommended. (I don't own any booty shorts and only have a couple pairs of workout shorts but was pretty sure my recently single, unshaven legs would gross anyone out, even from the knees down).

However, the crazy stripper just cancelled all classes tomorrow on account of her having surgery yesterday. Hmmm.... had surgery yesterday, doctors' orders were no strenuous activity until Monday, didn't cancel classes until today....

Well, I guess strippers aren't exactly known for their exceptional forethought.

Man, now I have to wait a whole 'nother week to have something interesting to talk about. Damn.

Pelican

I love watching pelicans. They always look like they're smirking about
something that you don't know about. Of course, you can't really see
it but there's a flying pelican on this photo right before it dove
into the water. It was so nice out this morning that I really didn't
want to go to work today.

Sleeper Sofa

It's finally arrived and assembled in my guest room. Now I can have
guests! I can't show the rest of the room yet cuz it's still a
disaster. But two months later my apartment is finally coming together!

Beach living

I love it. I am becoming a shell hoarder though. What am I really
going to do with these seashells I keep picking up?

Since I've been spending more time looking down, I've also noticed the
trash and plastic that washes up on the beach. And it really bothered
me because there are so many shore birds feeding where the trash is.
So I started to pick up the trash but then I realized that my back
starts to hurt and the dog doesn't get a good walk if I'm constantly
stopping to pick something up. But I think I've compromised to
try and pick up a small sized bag (doggie bag sized) of trash on my
walks. So. Yeah. My life is not wildly exciting anymore. But screw wild, I'm happy.

For dog lovers

Almost forgot to share this photo. I saw this little boy at the park.
He was all dressed up in his fireman's uniform. Hat and everything.
Really cute until i saw him get pissed off when another child walked
off with one of toys in the sandbox. I still want kids right? I know
I would have the kid that insists on wearing a superman cape to school.

Playing hookie

Called in sick today for a mental health day. I've been feeling pms-y
the last few days so I know I did the right thing.

Dolphins and dumptrucks

I love a clean beach. I do. I love how many garbage cans line the

boardwalk so that I don't have to carry a bag a poop very far when

walking Molly. I did wonder how the 50 or so garbage cans around the

bay were emptied so regularly. Now I know. A garbage truck drives

around the boardwalk and empties them. Duh.

It looked incongruous against the natural scenery so I took a pic.

The best part of the morning walk was seeing dolphins in the bay. It was cool! I'm glad some of the other dog walkers pointed them out to me (note to self: make friends with other dog walkers). They were too far out to be able to take a pic with my phone but now I'll always be looking for them.
