A pa'u skirt is a swinging skirt traditionally worn in hula dance. This is the first one I've ever sewn myself. Next time I make one I'm going to write out the instructions because I couldn't find good step by step instructions online. I accidentally sewed the casings shut before I had threaded the elastic through. I made this one with a ruffle on top and two bands of elastic. You can also thread elastic through the top casing instead of having a ruffle. Overall I'm pretty stoked I actually finished a project in one night.
