Bedroom Blues

No. Not what you're thinking. I'm tired. Like really, really tired today. And cranky. Pretty cranky. I didn't sleep well last night or the last few nights. I'm having nightmares, I'm hot, I'm cold, I gotta pee, the dog is tap dancing on the hardwood floor and licking my face.  And for some reason I woke up with the realization that I hate my bedroom this morning. Let's just put it this way, one of my moving boxes from six months ago is still serving as my bedside table.

First, let's just talk about the dog. When she's waking me up, she doesn't totally fit in the space between either side of the bed and the wall, so her tail hits the wall as she's tap dancing, sticking her wet nose in my face and pawing me to get up. It sounds like this: thump thump thunck ticka ticka tap ticka tic tic thump thump thump ticka tick tickity tick thumpa thumpa thumpa whiiiiiiine whimper lick tic tic tic tic tickity tic thump thumck.

It works. She knows it.  I miss the days of having carpet in the bedroom. It was easier to ignore her.

Secondly, I hate my bedroom because of the whole no furniture but a cardboard box issue. I seriously can't get motivated to spend a thousand dollars on a bedroom set. Just even thinking about a bedroom set is bor-ring. Headboards, I find I can be mildly interested in, but dressers?? Nightstands?? No thanks. I'd rather watch the Desperate Housewives of Catatonic Drivel.

YUCK

No.

Meh.

Snooze

Don't absolutely hate it.

Hot in Cleveland

So I dvr'd the last 2 episodes of this brand new show after seeing ads for the pilot. It's on a random channel, TV Land, I think??

So I watched them last night. I was lukewarm on the pilot show because the premise and plots are pretty flimsy, and tired. Overall, I felt like it was dated for a sitcom. Then when I watched the second episode I realized it's a Golden Girls re-make and then I decided I loved it!!It's just like an old school situational comedy. All fluff with some funny one-liners. Betty White plays the Sophia character and she has THE best lines.

Somebody to Love

So for the last six months I've been feeling like this:

Last relationship left a bad taste in my mouth and I've been enjoying the freedom.

But lately I've been wanting to feel like this again:

Also, can I just say that I Want her beach house and her awesome Bronco. Want. With a capitol W.

Now I'm thinking about it all the time and I'm questioning if it's possible to find the right partner for me. And I'm really wondering what trials and tribulations 16 year old Justin Bieber has had finding someone to love. Really.  I would just love to hear all about it.

Does he know what it feels like to be 32 years old with her biological clock ticking? No. I. Don't. Think. So. Plus this video is gay. Yeah, I said it.

And I'm really hoping to find this for the long term in the near term:

Hawaii Calls

I am wishing I was in Hawaii right now. I miss it. The smell of the flowers and the ocean, the colors, the music, the food, the pace...
I really think I was meant to be an island girl. I don't think I'd get island fever.

I want to live there so bad. Not that I don't already live in a fantastic city on the water but there's just something about Hawaii that holds a special place in my heart.

Wearing a bathing suit under your clothes everywhere. Muumuu's...I can't wait to be old enough to wear mu'u mu'u's everyday. Honestly, even though it's ugly, a mu'u mu'u over jeans is sooo comfortable.

I could live here. Really I could!

Is it weird that I have the hots for this guy???
Leland, from Dog the Bounty Hunter.

I think it's because he's Hawaiian.
It's definitely not the hair or tattoos.

So You Think You can Dance!

Getting an email that my number had finally come up on the wait list to be an audience member of SYTYCD finally gave me a long awaited chance to get out of town for the day. Usher was performing so Mela wanted to go and didn't have to work that day so it all worked out. I mean, it really worked out well. I requested we go to Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles as I'd never had it before.

The waffles and chicken and candied yams were all so freaking good! Especially the waffles. Good mom-like cooking! Felt like home.

It was pretty fun going to the taping. We didn't have to wait in any one spot for more than an hour and we got onto the floor of the audience with no problems.

Cat Deeley is absolutely fabulous and flawless and funny and perfect and genuine (it seemed to me). Usher's performance and his super duper sexy dancers were a trip to see live.
