Camping in the Redwoods

Ah what can I say about camping. Well in my opinion, nothing is better than camping with friends in a nice campsite. Really. I'm not into hardcore backbacking. I just want to carcamp. Go into town and get a latte if I want to. Have bathrooms with running water and toilet paper. Then a big cooler full of beer and wine. Add your good buds to the mix plus beautifull scenery and you are golden!!

I went to the large group campsite in the Humboldt Redwood state park with my friends from Sacramento. A really laid back group of people. There was an overabundance of a game called Bairut, a version of beer pong. I personally prefer flipcup. It was cold up there in the Redwoods so we stayed huddled around the campfire for the most part. But Greg, Holly and I went on a nice hike so we didn't feel like complete sloths.

Pat brought his mini bike and everyone had fun playing on that thing.

Overall, just good relaxing times.

It was sort of a trip to do the drive up to Humboldt I had done like a hundred times when I was dating Toby in college. Not much has changed on the 101 or around Clear Lake, let me tell you. I almost expected to see Toby, but that would be weird. I wonder what he looks like now.

Good times. I miss camping. I wish I had a group in SD that liked to go.
